CVETS has quickly become Columbia’s only privately owned veterinary hospital that offers 24-hour emergency and specialty care. Our facility hosts 200 employees and provides comprehensive services, including 24/7 Emergency Care, Surgery, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiology, Oncology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Dermatology. About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site leadership position for a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager located in Columbia, SC. As a key leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and strategically developing all HR functions, playing a vital role in our continued growth and success.
We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong ethical compass and a passion for fostering a positive and professional workplace. You will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees on complex employee relations issues, design and refine recruitment processes to attract top talent, and develop performance management initiatives that drive employee growth. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with all federal and South Carolina state labor laws, administering comprehensive benefits programs, and implementing impactful training and development programs.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and refine the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, with a focus on attracting and retaining high-quality talent.
Serve as a trusted advisor and lead for complex employee relations issues, promoting a fair and ethical workplace.
Develop, implement, and administer performance evaluation processes that drive employee growth and accountability.
Manage and administer employee benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and compliant.
Ensure strict compliance with all federal and South Carolina state employment laws and company policies.
Design and deliver impactful training and development programs to enhance employee skills and engagement.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive pay range of $80,000 - $100,000, with final salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.

Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience with increasing responsibility.
- Proven and demonstrable experience effectively managing complex employee relations issues with fairness and discretion.
- Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of federal and South Carolina state employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with HR software/HRIS systems (Dayforce is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport at all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Preferred (considered a plus):
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) or SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional) certification.
- Experience working in the veterinary or healthcare industry, understanding the unique challenges and demands of this field.
- Experience developing and delivering training and development programs.
