The successful candidate for this critical role will serve as a member of the HR Leadership Team, and as such, will be a key contributor to building the overall human capital strategy and strengthening the One HR mindset.

The Director of Total Rewards and HR Solutions is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and management of total rewards, HR Systems and employee services programs for Fulton Financial Corporation (FFC) to enhance employee attraction, retention and engagement, as well as drive performance and business results. The incumbent will provide leadership to staff that are accountable for the continuous development, design, implementation, communication and maintenance of compensation, benefits, recognition, work/life processes and programs, HR systems, the employment life cycle, monitoring of risk and compliance with regulatory processes and Affirmative Action reporting. Serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on prevailing total reward practices including executive compensation. This role oversees executive compensation, prepares and presents materials for the HR Committee, public disclosure and compliance.


This position has hybrid flexibility to be located within Fulton Bank's footprint of DE, MD, NJ, PA and VA. Must have the ability to travel to Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, PA, as needed.


  • Establishes the Total Rewards vision and philosophy for FFC to attract and retain top talent, working in partnership with other members of the business and HR leadership teams
  • Has overall responsibility for the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and administration of FFC's compensation and benefits programs to align the organization's people and business strategies, objectives and competitive marketplace position, as well as general oversight of operational, administrative, regulatory and compliance processes and reporting within Human Resources.
  • Collaborates with and serves as an advisor to executive leadership on matters pertaining to total rewards, management incentive plans and executive compensation
  • Develop effective analytics and metrics to influence program direction and monitor business impact and effectiveness
  • Manages and leads a team directly and through subordinate managers, including selection, performance management, and resource allocation. Ensures a recruitment and talent management plan is utilized. Leads, inspires and develops a high quality/high talent team that is aligned to the current and future needs of the business. This will be supported through coaching, mentoring and providing ongoing feedback to foster an innovative and learning environment. Maintains common and consistent communication messages to support the strategic goals, mission and values of the Bank
  • Establishes, revises, administers and communicates policies and procedures in accordance with state, federal and organizational guidelines. Communicates and monitors compliance with regulatory, licensing and accreditation standards
  • Partners with operating unit executive teams to develop and implement programs that maintain alignment with FFC objectives, while meeting unique needs at the local level
  • Prepare annual Total Rewards budget, quarterly forecasts, and work with Finance, senior management, and HR Committee on recommendations and allocations
  • Oversee all annual processes associated with Total Rewards, including planning and leading annual compensation and performance review cycles, benefits marketing and communications, and annual enrollment
  • Oversee vendor selection; monitor and manage selected vendors against service level agreements and effectiveness
  • Provides strategy, leadership, roadmap, planning, project coordination and management of the company's human capital management systems
  • Ensures execution of technical solutions that support the human capital functions of the enterprise
  • Working in conjunction with other HR department leads, ensure that end-to-end processes are delivering desired results; foster a collaborative, values-driven HR team culture of high standards, strong productivity and innovation




Master Degree Business (MBA or other applicable), or the equivalent experience. (Preferred)

Bachelor Degree (Business or other applicable), or the equivalent experience. (Required)

Required Experience

10 or more years Total Rewards Management

5 or more years:

  • HR Systems and/or HR Operations Management
  • Prior executive compensation experience in a public company

Preferred Experience

  • 5 or more years in the banking/financial services industry
